Connect Pipedrive and Google Chat™

Pipedrive for Google Chat™ is an app that integrates Pipedrive with Google Chat™. It helps your team stay informed about key activities and updates in Pipedrive by delivering real-time notifications directly to Google Chat™. By bridging the gap between your CRM and your communication platform, the app helps you improve team collaboration, enhance productivity, and react faster to important deal progress.

Before you get started

To use Pipedrive for Google Chat™ you need an active subscription on both Pipedrive and Google Workspace. Any plan works.

The first user to install and set up the Pipedrive for Google Chat™ app must be a Pipedrive admin. If you want to install the app for all users in your Google account, you must also be a Super Admin or be granted specific permissions for the Google Workspace you want to install the app to.

A Google Workspace administrator who isn't a Pipedrive user can install the Pipedrive for Google Chat™ app for Google Chat on the Google marketplace. However, a Pipedrive admin will also be required to complete the setup.

Once the app is installed on Google Workspace, each user will have to individually connect their Pipedrive account by completing an authentication flow (see step 7 of ‘Install Pipedrive for Google Chat ™’). This is required for users to receive and manage personal notifications.

Please note: Only Pipedrive admins can set up space notifications. However, each individual user is responsible for setting up and managing their own personal notifications.

When this option is enabled, your personal direct message notifications about the same deal are automatically grouped into a single conversation thread in Google Chat™. This keeps your inbox organized and makes it easier to follow the full history of a deal in one place.

Please note: You must have at least one personal notification type enabled before you can turn on this option.

  1. In your Pipedrive account, click on your profile picture in the top right corner and select Tools and apps.

Group space notifications by deal

When this option is enabled, all deal notifications sent to a Google Chat™ space are automatically grouped into a single conversation thread per deal. Instead of seeing separate messages for every update, your team will find all activity for the same deal collected in one thread, making it much easier to track deal progress without losing context.

Please note: You must have at least one Google Chat™ space selected before you can turn on this option.

  1. In your Pipedrive account, click on your profile picture in the top right corner and select Tools and apps.
